English Garden

Not far from the hotel is the English Garden with its countless walking paths, lakes and the famous Eisbach. From the hotel you can reach the English Garden in about 10 minutes by foot. Enjoy the nature in the middle of the city of Munich - whether for a short walk or an extensive bike tour with picnic. Bicycles are available for a fee at the hotel.

Castles

Beautiful tours can be found around Nymphenburg Castle, where you will also find the Porcelain Museum of the Porcelain Manufactory Nymphenburg and the Natural History Museum of Man and Nature with insights into our existence. If you like to make a somewhat larger round, you should choose the castle tour along the Nymphenburg River, Amalienburg and Blutenburg Castle.

On foot or by bike

Start on foot or by bike along the authentic & natural river Isar - not far from the LOUIS Hotel directly at the German Museum

From here you can quickly reach the Cornelius Bridge, the Reichenbach Bridge and the Wittelsbacher Bridge. The Brudermühlbrücke is three kilometers away from the German Museum. Perfect for a short break in the Flaucher beer garden. In summer, Munich residents lie here or jump into the water. Because it's beautiful and close.

The Bavarian lakes

The Bavarian lakes are considered the most beautiful in Germany. 

Not far from Munich you can find some of the famous lakes. The picturesque lake Tegernsee can be easily reached by car or train in an hour.
The legendary lake Starnberger See is almost part of the Munich area and can be reached in less than 45 minutes the lake Ammersee is also beautifully situated surrounded by small authentic villages and good Bavarian restaurants.
